Mulheres no mundo dos homens: um estudo das dificuldades enfrentadas por mulheres executivas em duas grandes empresas privadas do Espírito Santo

Abstract

The present work aims to understand the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions in medium and large private companies. For that, it is necessary to analyze the construction of Brazilian society, the beginning of the insertion of women in the capital and the other types of professions whose women are in greater number. From the data collection of the National Research Institute Anísio Teixeira (INEP), which proves that women are the majority in higher education and vocational education, it remains clear that, quantitatively, there are more qualified women in the market than men. In this sense, there is an urgent need to study the causes and consequences that numerically maintain the inequality of women and men in leadership positions of medium and large private companies. Through a qualitative and quantitative research, based on doctrines and field research, it was possible to understand some of these causes and how they manifest themselves.
